The Southern Arizona Women's Chorus is pleased to be accompanied by Mrs. Helen Jones. Helen received her Bachelor of Music degree in Piano from the University of Arizona. After living in California and Colorado for 23 years, Helen returned to Tucson in 1990.

Helen maintains an independent piano studio in Tucson and is a trained Musikgarten teacher. She has served as president and convention chair for the Arizona State Music Teachers Association and performed as duo-soloist on harpsichord with the Civic Orchestra of Tucson. Helen is also in the Arizona Opera League of Tucson. She finished third year as League president and has been very active with the annual League Home Tour. Helen has been the accompanist for the Tucson Girls Chorus since 1993 and is currently on the University of Arizona School of Music Advisory Board. In 2000, Helen received two awards: Opera Guild International Partners in Excellence Award and Arizona State Music Teacher Honored Teacher of the Year. The Chorus is indeed privileged to have Helen as its accompanist.
